Brenda Akankunda is a lawyer and a Trade and Investment Policy Analyst with over 4 years’ experience. Brenda is very enthusiastic about achieving pro development trade and investment policies and practices at national, regional and global level. In her current position as the Program Lead for Trade, Investment and Development, she undertakes policy analysis, research and advocacy towards influencing trade and investment policy reforms to support growth of small indigenous entrepreneurs, and protection of women’s rights, farmers’ rights, right to health, right to food, right to dignity, and livelihood. As an alumnus of the International Tax Justice Academy, she has championed the quest for Tax Justice in Uganda and beyond. Brenda Akankunda holds a Bachelor of Laws Degree from Kampala International university in Uganda.
