Virtual Stakeholders’ Policy Engagement on the Trade and Climate Change Nexus: The Quest for a Just Transition
SEATINI Uganda in partnership with Climate Action Network- Uganda (CAN-U) and Akina Mama wa Afrika (AMwA) is organising a virtual Stakeholders’ Policy Engagement on Trade and Climate Change Nexus and the quest for a just transition on 29th August 2023 from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM EAT. This engagement will be held in the run-up to the Africa Climate Summit 2023 in Nairobi Kenya.
The Summit (ACS) will be organised with the African Union Commission (AUC) with the aim of ensuring Africa’s voice is elevated globally and integrated into existing international fora such as UNGA, G7/G20 processes, and UNFCCC COP 28 among others.
The Summit will be held concurrently with the Africa Climate Week (4 – 8 September 2023) hosted in partnership with the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) Secretariat, an annual UNFCCC-led event to promote actions that allow to course-correct and achieve the Paris Agreement goals and objectives.
