Are you passionate about social justice, policy analysis, and making a impact in your community? SEATINI Uganda invites you to join our 4th cohort of the Graduate Trainee Program, building on the success of our previous three cohorts.

SEATINI is a leading Pan-African Research and Advocacy NGO that works to promote pro-development trade, fiscal, and investment-related policies and practices for the realization of sustained equitable development and improved livelihoods at the national, regional and global levels.

We envision; “A Strong and Confident Africa in World Trade,” and our mission is “To strengthen stakeholders’ capacity to influence trade, fiscal and investment related policies and processes for sustained equitable development and improved livelihoods in Uganda and the East African region.”

Over the years, SEATINI Uganda has been implementing the Graduate Trainee Program to contribute to shaping the new generation of critical thinkers, policy analysts and social justice champions.

Program Highlights:

  • Objective: Cultivate a new generation of leaders, offering hands-on experience in research, policy analysis, and advocacy.
  • Scope: Engage in real-world projects, apply academic knowledge, and contribute to the quest for social justice; ‘‘Haki Ya Jamii’’.
  • Duration: Maximum period of 6 months.

What You’ll Gain:

  • Professional Growth: Develop critical thinking, policy analysis, and research skills.
  • Networking Opportunities: Connect with industry experts and like-minded peers.
  • Career Advancement: Enhance your resume with practical experience in a leading NGO.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Development Studies, Law, Economics, Information Technology, Multimedia/Interactive Design, Journalism, or related fields.
  • Proficiency in English with excellent communication skills.
  • Required soft skills: Problem-solving, teamwork, creativity, and interpersonal skills.

Compensation:

  • Unpaid positions, inclusive of lunch and transport allowances.
  • Logistical support will be provided for work-related tasks.
