The National Public Forum
In commemoration of the 70th Anniversary of the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights, on 7TH December 2018, SEATINI-Uganda in partnership with Food Rights Alliance (FRA), Coalition for Health Promotion and Social Development (HEPS) and Center for Health Human Rights & Development (CEHURD) will organise public dialogue on a theme “Behind your diets, Behind your Health: The equation of Trade and Right to Food & Health”.
The major objectives of this Public Forum are: to raise public awareness on the policy and practice inter-linkages between Human Rights i.e. right to health and right to food and Trade; to bring together actors in the areas of Human Rights, Health, Agriculture and Trade to discuss synergies among the areas and forge way forward; and to chart a way forward on how to make Trade and Agricultural related policies more responsive to the right to health and food.
